Neon At Neiman Marcus...

Welcome back everyone! Hope you're weekend went well....


Have you seen all the NEON over at Neiman Marcus?? I'm still loving this trend, especially in high heel shoes! I think adding some bright colors like the ones below will really add some interest to outfits this HOLIDAY season! I always enjoy pairing neon colors with GOLD, which in my opinion, looks the best!

More From My NYC Trip....

Friday is finally here....do you guys have any plans? Traveling anywhere?? I'll be heading to a dinner date tonight with my guy - can't wait! 


Oh & as promised, here are a few more pics from my trip to New York City. My family was so excited to see me & I was so grateful to be able to spend time with them. While I was there, I visited several different places - and below are some of my favorites! Enjoy! 

Ralph Lauren: 


This all white building has got to be one of my favorites in the city. It's located in Soho on an old brick lined street.

Bloomingdales:


I love this department store. In fact it's near my old neighborhood. I did a little shopping...but my favorite was this Tory Burch sitting area. It was like a little boutique in the midst of all these other shops & the fabric on the sofas?? Gorgeous, don't you think??!?

Magnolia Bakery:


A good bakery is a must in any town. My favorite is Magnolia and NYC has several in Manhattan. This particular one we went to was literally inside Bloomingdales...so when you're splurging on a new handbag, you can then indulge in some amazing cupcakes on the first floor! Love this place...why oh why don't they have one here in Las Vegas?!?!?

The 9/11 Memorial:

It was really interesting. It took us almost 35 minutes just to get into the main area. Why? Well, because we stood in line and this line twisted & twirled and it felt like we were in a maze - then toward the end there were security with metal detectors, just like TSA. I swear, it was identical to an airport & you even had to remove your belt.

 All in all, it was quite surreal. Knowing that the 2 towers stood there at on point and so many people died there....it felt like a mass grave. But it was beautiful & serene...families left their loved ones notes and personal items next to their names. I got very emotional as I stood there reading some of the notes...

Lincoln Center:


In all my years living in NYC, I never got to see a symphony. So we finally went & I think we were the youngest people in the entire place. Either way, it was beautiful but a bit longer than I was hoping for. 

To be exact it was 86 minutes long - after the 1st hour, I started dozing off...I know, that's terrible!

Museum of Sex:


I didn't have time to go inside but you can see a lot of it from the outside. The skeleton exhibits in the window were pretty darn funny..

The Natural History Museum:


I think this museum was a lot more exciting when I was a kid. This time around it was still fun but a bit too busy with kids for my taste. Either way, the planetarium was nice & the huge fossil exhibits were interesting! 

I still prefer Art museums like MOMA....

Nespresso Boutique Bar:


I had never been here before but I loved it so much I visited the place twice. They have a few locations & both of the ones I went to were very clean and relaxing. The coffee was amazing and they had SOY, big plus!!! I'm someone who enjoys sweets and Nespresso had some great options & the portions were the perfect size.


I'm obsessed with Starbucks, but this place definitely beat Starbucks in my opinion!

Dog Fashion...

Both of my dogs have relatively decent looking collars. Well, one of my dogs does, the other one just has a hand-me-down collar from one of my previous dogs & it's PRETTY DARN OLD! In fact he only wears it when we go outside. 

My female boxer is a bit more SPOILED & she has a nicer collar..... but it has little round studs that SCRATCH the walls in my home whenever she rubs against them! Argh!!

So all ranting aside, I've been thinking of SPLURGING on a new one for my female dog....I love all the stylish options I've seen out there!  So, in case you're in the market for a new collar (like me) this Holiday & want something stylish, take a look at these options!

Another visit to Kate Spade in NY....

Back in May I traveled to NYC & took some time to visit Kate Spade down in Soho. I absolutely love that shop! Don't you?!?


I swear, I could spend hours browsing it. In fact I even wrote about the shop in May, and the decor has been one of my favorites ever since....Check it out here! This time around, I visited Kate Spade & the decor was just as pretty, take a look!

Belmont Design Group

Hello Everyone! I missed you guys while I was away -but I had such a FAB time in NYC! I can't begin to tell you how great it was to be back there! Visiting my family & old friends again was awesome! I even got to meet a few bloggers that I only knew online!

Anyhow, now that I'm back it's back to blogging! Today I wanted to introduce you to designer, Alison Royer. She's a talented designer who runs Belmont Design Group in California.  She recently sent me a space she completed for one of her clients.  Her client lives in BRAZIL & wanted a serene design for their VACATION HOME in Orange County, CA. 

This is what Alison designed & she told me in her own words:

I had a great time working on this project and with these clients.  The goal of this room was to create an architecturally rich retreat, where traditional and modern elements co-exists.  We drew inspiration from the interior styling of Axel Vervoordt and designed this room to include a neutral color palette, white walls and natural elements.  I incorporated some of their existing pieces such as the camel colored hide rug and weathered wooden pedestal.  I also had to keep in mind that this is a family of 5 with 3 active boys so I worked hard at balancing their design style with their lifestyle.  :)

This project was for my clients vacation home in Orange County, CA but they live full time in Brazil so we worked together via email to complete this project.
