Here are a few images from our afternoon adventure with J & L-pod!
By the time we caught up with the Orcas this afternoon J-pod had already reached Turn Point and were heading to Active Pass through Swanson Channel but L-pod had not reached Stuart Island yet.
As we watched L-pod we saw several wonderful Spyhops, Taillobs, Tailslaps and Pectoral Waves! For a while it was looking like all the Orcas would continue traveling north and would be out of our reach for the evening trip but thankfully after a few more tailslaps L-pod turned and started moving south:)
We were so fortunate this afternoon with so many Orcas and perfect sunny calm conditions!
