‘Super Six’, Udara Palliyaguruge's latest cinematic venture aims to attract international markets for local cinema that combines the influences of romance, comedy, action and fantasy. The film 'Super Six' might have been successful at the box office here and internationally capture any attention. Launch of the movie, ‘Super Six’ held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel recently and the estimated budget of the movie is Rs. 77 million.
Six separate stories centres around three couples participating in the Super Sixes, a six a side tournament. The game of cricket brings their worlds and dreams on to one platform, the freewheeling passion for Cricket decides the fate of the young groups and their dreams.
‘Super Six’ involves a massive cast including young and energetic stars like Sanath Gunathilake, Mahendra Perera, Roshan Ranawana, Aruni Rajapakse, Saranga Dissasekera, Paboda Sandeepani, Hemal Sachindra Ranasinghe, Maleeka Sirisenage, Duleeka Marapana, Suneth Chitrananda, Sangeetha Sadani, Chitra Warakagoda, Manike Attanayake, Priyantha Seneviratne, Rodney Warnakula, Anton Jude and Jeewan Handuneththi.
