My New Year's Eve Outfit...

For a couple of weeks now, I've been thinking of what the heck to wear. I can't seem to tear my mind off all the awesome GOLD out there. So, I went out & purchased my NYE sequin dress in gold via Michael Kors. It's the same dress featured here & available here. 

My guy gave me an early Christmas gift - the gold link MK ring, which I've wanted for a few months now, how sweet is he? 

The super sexy stilettos in the photos are from Zara. The heel is silver.....DARN.  I wonder if I should bother painting it gold??? Thoughts? I'm also accessorizing with this cute leather fold over clutch, available soon on MadeByGirl!

The Perfect Thanksgiving Outfit....

Hello everyone! Ahhhh I've been terribly busy today - shooting some of the new accessories we're adding to Made By Girl - exciting but exhausting! On another note, so happy that Thanksgiving is quickly approaching on Thursday! I've thought about all the things I'm thankful for & boy do I have a looooong list. 

In a PERFECT world, this is what I'd be wearing at our Thanksgiving table while telling everyone what I'm thankful for. So, yes, this would be the PERFECT Thanksgiving outfit - STYLISH, trendy & with a splash of color! Also, great for the chilly weather we've been having at night, 40 degreeeeees!!

My Birthday...

Today is my birthday.  However, I celebrated my day yesterday as some of you may know. Many of you tweeted me 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' on my Twitter, thank you! I'm officially 38 years old.....and every so often I call myself an OLD fart - but my guy likes to fight me on that & say, "no way, you look like you're in your 20's!!
 

I always laugh when he says that, but hey, it could be worse right?! He could tell me I don't look as great or that I DO look my age....but thankfully, he knows better. 

I got a few gifts this year but my FAVORITE is the Sara Berman clutch. I've wanted a pony hair - leopard print clutch for quite sometime now...and ta da! 

Gifts are great - but I know that the things that TRULY matter the most are the time I get to spend with family & friends. Those gifts last a loooong time. 
 

I love getting cards as well...& my guy is so cool on 'special occasions'...he always seems to find the right things to say...for instance today on my birthday card he wrote, 

"You are the most incredible, most amazing, most beautiful, most creative, intelligent and perfect woman to me & I can't imagine spending a single day of my life without you, Happy Birthday." 

I'm so grateful to God for him & for all the blessings that have come my way this year....

Bought an iPad2 Case...or 2

I FINALLY jumped on the bandwagon & bought an iPad2 - and DANG, I wish I had thought about getting one before! These things are super cool! I was also on the hunt for the perfect case & realized in the process that the perfect case .......DOES not exist! My opinion, of course. 

Sooo, I decided to try out the Michael Kors clutch style case & my iPad fit inside like a charm! This thing is so chic looking & goes with all my outfits, from dressy to casual. It also has a sufficient amount of padding to protect your device & of course the snake print is just TIMELESS.....

It retails for about $130 at Net-a-Porter. 
 

Then I also ordered the Tory Burch black canvas case.  I admit, I was a bit hesitant at how much cleaning a canvas case would need, but it seems pretty ok so far! My favorite part of the case are the thick GOLD zippers, just gorgeous!! 

I also love that I can insert my iPad2 inside it like a book & just close it when I'm done! Super convenient. That's a feature this particular Michael Kors case doesn't have- but that's why I'm keeping both! 

I like having different options, just like with my handbags. Don't you?
