Flats Galore...

Hello everyone, how are you??

While I settle in at my new apartment (as a renter) - I'll be posting a weekly series called "the good, the bad, the ugly" about the rental experience. Not sure how long the series will last - but it should be interesting! If you live in an apartment & would like to submit to the series, email me!

On another note, SPRING will be here relatively soon & that means we can put away our winter boots! 

So, what will we be wearing? How about flats? I used to HATE flats in high school - thought they made my 8 1/2 feet look like canoes. Anyone else felt that way?!?


I finally go the courage to wear them in college & to this day, I love them! These days they have so many styles to choose from - so it's pretty easy to find a pair you like. They're comfortable & stylish - now living in NYC, it's essential to own flats because I'll be walking quite a lot!

Affording Martin Margiela?? (Made By Girl)

I can't stand falling in LOVE with a pair of shoes to then be disappointed. Ok, not with the shoes BUT the price tag! In this case the lovely Martin Margiela Ovine wedge sandals at $895. What the?!? 


Don't you hate that? You see them, picture yourself in them & even think up an ENTIRE OUTFIT around them...you go crazy searching the net only to find out, YOU CAN'T AFFORD THEM! Well darn....my heart just sank because I know these would look so cute on me! 

I remember MY SISTER once telling me that she bought her first pair of expensive shoes at 18. They cost her $290. That was a LOT for her at the time. She said that as she walked out of the store, she had to hold onto a street pole because she felt DIZZY.


She had never dropped that much CASH on a pair of shoes & she couldn't believe it. Ha! She was totally laughing when she told me this story....I couldn't help but laugh as well.

Ever had this happen to you??? You come across something amazing only to be LET DOWN by the high price tag?!?!? What was it??!?

Submit Photos of Your Closet...(Via Made By Girl)

Most women are fascinated with shoes & handbags.

But we need to have a place to put them right???   It's such a gift to be able to have a LARGE closet that you don't have to share with anyone! 

It's not that we as women don't like to share, it's just that many of us really NEED all the space we can get!  I admit, I have lots of purses, lots of jeans & plenty of shoes.  Thank God for my guy, he was kind enough to build an entire shoe rack for the shoes and put together the IKEA closet system you see below....which is so convenient. 

The BEST part is that we do not share closet space, because if we did, it would be VERY cramped!  So, with this post, I'm going to put a call out for submissions of YOUR CLOSET.

• It has to be your own (not shared) and must be shot in daylight without a flash (if possible). 
• It doesn't have to be GRAND or anything like Mariah Carey's - but it should be cute enough to share with others!
