Design: Kitchen Appeal

Don't you just love a wide open kitchen with lots of charm and appeal?

Drew here again, with a bundle of beautiful kitchens, designed by Alvhem {Market & Interior}.

This first kitchen took my breath away! The artichoke lighting, the contrast of the dark wood table with white chairs, the abundant greenery and plants scattered throughout, the open shelving and the peaceful view outside the large, open windows!

The other kitchens also left me with a sense of peacefulness. There's so much character in each little corner. From artwork to uplifting prints, to chandeliers and drop lighting to more plants and vegetables that brighten up the look and feel of each kitchen.

As spring is in full action, go buy some fresh flowers and greenery to spread out all over your kitchen in order to make the sweet smells fill the air each time you come to lounge and grab a bite!

Design: In Pink

Drew here again, sharing an exquisite pink dream design team that is Drake Design Associates.  I was smitten with pink as I admired each angle of this bedroom.

The PINK walls, the bed, the accents and lighting; pure BLISS.

Not to mention the astonishing walk in closet with a wall covered in shoes included in the mix! If you're not already a lover of this pink hue, you will be after you've scrolled through each of these beauties!

Design: Tablescapes

Spring is finally upon us and there are so many tablescapes to start decorating for. It's Drew, showing you the basics to a simple table setup for your upcoming bridal showers, Easter brunches and other get togethers you are hosting as an excuse to break out your favorite china and colorful centerpieces.
With this tablescape, I was inspired by the new products offered at Zara Home.

If you haven't visited the site, you will definitely want to make a stop to admire all of the beautiful goodness it has to offer.

I used a colorful palette of corals, peaches, pinks and mint. For the accents, stemware and silverware I chose gold to give it a vintage, luxe feel. I think the contrast works really well for a spring tablescape.

Design: Decorating with Green

It's almost springtime and I'm pretty sure a lot of you have green on your mind. Drew here, showing you one of my favorite color trends going on right now. I can't seem to get this brilliant shade out of my head.

I mostly think of Cassandra over at Coco Kelley whenever there is an abundance of kelly green. So, I guess you can say this is a dedication to her favorite color and all of you other kelly green lovers!

What's especially striking is when a room is filled with an assortment of green shades. The contrast between a mint and hunter green is so charming and lush, while a jade and chartreuse can have you yearning for more of this natural hue. Check out how these rooms portray green in its utmost perfection!

Design: Love-ly Decor

Love is definitely in the air! I can't think of a better way to celebrate the love month than to add lovely  decor into your home. It's Drew, bringing you a handful of ideas to set the mood in the rooms of your house for Valentine's Day. It's not simply just the pinks, whites and purples that make this holiday apparent. It's the gold lighting, the luxurious furniture, accents of black and pretty framed art.

And what's Valentine's Day without fresh picked flowers sitting around the house, leaving a glorious scent around each corner?

Design: Gemstones

Hello dear readers. Drew here, bringing you insight from a different perspective on my views of design. I was browsing home decor on the internet & came across a feature on a new trendy home accessory.  It struck a nostalgic chord of childhood memories.

GEMSTONES.

I fondly remember mining for rocks in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, freezing water running over my hands as I cleaned and polished every gem I came across in the heavy white bucket. What used to be a collection can now be something much more.

Quartz and agate seem to be rising to a decor stardom level. They come in all different brilliant shades, shapes and sizes. You can get fancy and add these precious gemstones to a fireplace, mimic them in a bed spread, use them as table surfaces, as glamorous lamps and even a fashionable mirror.
Just admire these gems in all of their natural splendor!
