MadeByGirl in Emirates Home Magazine!

So excited to announce that my Made By Girl Love Candy print made the cover of the popular Emirates HOME Magazine in Dubai!


This was so cool & unexpected. One of my readers had her baby's nursery photographed & it got picked up by the mag, so I was delighted when she told me it made the cover. Yowza!


Going to celebrate this weekend - but I still need a couple copies of the magazine to show my mom! She's always proud of these little moments!

GOLD is Sooo In....

Hey you guys, how are you all?? 


My week has been SO stressful, trying to book a place in NYC & getting some airfare amongst other things! But let's get back to the fun stuff.....
 

I LOVE GOLD. BUT, I used to HATE it. Well, when I was in my early 20's I'd only wear silver. Back in my day I used to see gold as LOUD & not-so-classy, but not anymore! In fact, I started wearing gold around the same time Sara Jessica Parker appeared on SATC wearing her gold horseshoe necklace!!! She inspired me.


Now we see it all over... GOLD is in everything these days from home decor, jewelry, wallpaper, artwork & more! In fact it's one of the key colors I use in my paintings on Cocoa & Hearts!

So, it's safe to say, GOLD is very much in trend & I now own more gold than silver jewelry, who knew?!? Some of my favorite gold jewelry this season is by Vince Camuto. Have you seen his newest pieces?!? Oh my gosh! It's super nice & super affordable too!!

 Also, since GOLD is soooo in trend.... I decided it was time to step it up a notch & make some gold LOVE prints as well! Here's another peek!


I briefly mentioned the prints last week & have already received many inquiries & phone calls asking when they'll be available!!! They're HOT!

Carter's Nursery....

When a woman has a baby, she also gets a chance to try out her decorating SKILLS. Nurseries are a BIG deal for first time moms..... not only is it a celebration of a NEW life, but a chance to make a space to accommodate the little one!

A fellow blogger named Jenny recently welcomed her baby boy Carter in July & put together a gorgeous baby retreat!

I'm flattered that she even included my Blu Raspberry Love candy print as part of the nursery scheme!  Jenny was also put together a wall of books inspired by Elizabeth Sullivan who did this really cool one for a client, which I posted about here.
 

You can see the slight similarity, except, Jenny's is done on a much smaller scale than Elizabeth's design. Some of my favorite part of this room are the cute little elephant curtains & of course the book shelf !! 

Hope this post will serve as inspiration to you ladies about to have a baby & looking to decorate a nursery!

Reader Displays my Art....(Via Made By Girl)

This has to be one of the coolest pictures I've seen using my LOVE Candy print. 

One of my reader's (Shalina) sent this photo of her home, where she now displays 9 LOVE prints!  Don't you just love the SUPER high ceilings, glass stair walls & HUGE skylight?? She also told us that her guests often compliment this display in her home! Very cool, thanks Shalina!
