Here are just a few images from this evenings wonderful encounter with members of J, K & L-pod plus a Gray Whale!
We headed out this evening hoping to catch the Orcas that had been sighted earlier in the day off San Juan Island. As we neared Lime Kiln lighthouse we began to see several Orca blows and as we arrived on scene we could see the Orcas were in a very active mood.
Over the next hour we moved from group to group and watched several breaches, tailslaps, spyhops and incredible cartwheels!
On our way home we stopped at Oak Bay and encountered the Gray Whale that seems to have taken up residence there:)
A stunning night sky was the finale to a wonderful evenings adventure!
