Incredible afternoon Transient Orca encounter! June 5, 2010.

We had to venture all the way to almost the entrance to Admiralty inlet today but when we arrived on scene we had an incredible encounter with T102 & friends!

Ron Bates, MMRG, identified several of the Orcas including T102 and the T30's. The Orcas were milling around at first and then headed towards Admiralty Inlet!
At o...ne point all 10 of the Orcas came within a 150 yards of our boat and as we sat there with our engines off we could hear the Orcas clearly as they came to the surface and exhaled, it was breathtaking!

On our way home we even encountered a Minke Whale! With calm seas and clear blue skies we could not have asked for a better afternoon:)
